Sophia Frese ist eine in Berlin lebende bildende Künstlerin, deren großformatige abstrakte Malerei die Verbindung zwischen menschlichem Körper und Natur erforscht. Mit selbst gemischten Pigmenten und natürlichen Materialien schafft sie haptische, improvisatorische Kompositionen, die als psychografische Landschaften erscheinen.
Mit einer Promotion in Deutscher Literatur und American Studies an der Freien Universität Berlin entwickelt Frese eine visuelle Sprache jenseits der Worte – geprägt von Rhythmus, Materialität und Intuition. Ihre Arbeiten wurden in Berlin, New York und Mexiko-Stadt gezeigt und befinden sich in Privatsammlungen in Europa und den USA.

Sophia Frese is a Berlin-based visual artist whose large-format abstract paintings explore the connection between the human body and the natural world. Working with self-mixed pigments and natural materials, she creates tactile, improvisational compositions that unfold as psychographic landscapes.
Holding a Ph.D. in German Literature and American Studies from Freie Universität Berlin, Frese develops a visual language beyond words – one shaped by rhythm, materiality, and intuition. Her work has been exhibited in Berlin, New York City, and Mexico City, and is held in private collections across Europe and the United States.
